US Embassy Arts Envoy – Thailand
3D Workshops / Public Exhibitions
Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen – Thailand
One of the things I love most about street painting is having the opportunity to spread the word globally, by teaching the fundamentals of 3d street painting to youth around the world. As an acting Arts Envoy, I was invited through the US State Department to conduct a series of workshops on 3d street painting to college and university level students throughout Thailand this past September. My assistant, Sharyn Chan, and I traveled around the north east, where we conducted 4 workshop programs and 5 exhibition pieces at locations such as Bangkok University, Chiang Mai University, Khon Kaen University and Chulalongkorn University. Additionally we created works at Bangkok’s Terminal 21 Mall, the Conrad Hotel Bangkok, Khon Kaen University Library, Chiang Mai U’s Art Center (where we worked alongside regional street artists) and facilitated a community project conducted at Satichon Islamic High School. A whirlwind tour, we fell in love with Thailand (the people, the culture, the food, the massages) and hope to return again soon for more 3D fun!
