Last weekend part of the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica cracked open to reveal none other than the Grand Canyon looming underground! ………….well, not really but the 3D street painting sure did look cool!
Team 3D were at it again with paint, chalk, brushes, fingers, great weather and a lot of support from friends, fans and pedestrians on the ever busy 3rd Street Promenade. This was public street painting created as the key component to a national publicity campaign courtesy of the Arizona Tourism Board. In an effort to get Californians interested in visiting Arizona, the concept was to bring a little piece of one the USA’s most spectacular destinations – the Grand Canyon National Park – to busy downtown Santa Monica. With free trips up for grabs and all sorts of other ways to win, thousands of visitors to the west side walked away with an awesome photo of themselves looking down into the canyon from one of the rim viewing stations, all for free!
I LOVE painting in my home town of LA ’cause I get to visit with so many friends and supporters. Thank you to everyone who came down to say ‘hi’ and take pics! Special thanks to Sharyn, JJ and Jon for being part of our awesome Team 3D; and thanks to the LA street team brand ambassadors who are always a blast to work with!
