For all of my non-Canadian friends, here is a terrific new show that features fringe and unique art from all over North America – ‘That’s Art.’ I’m pleased to announce that my work and I have been featured in episode 10, which was broadcast in Canada this past fall. Things look good for future broadcasts happening here in the US for 2013.
This was a super easy, fun and organic experience for me in that the producer called up to say he’d be out in California and would I mind participating? I said sure so he and crew arrived in my little town of Ventura to film me drawing an impromptu image on a local sidewalk. My pal Dan kindly offered a chunk of sidewalk in front of one of his establishments downtown which I happily accepted.
The cool part of this for me was that this was my first time drawing in my home town! Locals stopped by to check out the action, with some children really getting into the act by interacting with ‘one of those drawings you see on the internet!’
