Home for the holidays but that did not stop us from whipping up a Winter Wonderland in Hong Kong at the headquarters of the Bank of East Asia. Certainly a fitting landscape for all that cold hard cash. We transported the bank with an interactive 3D mural that has people thinking they’re standing in a classic Christmas card—customers actually started to develop frostbite as they made their deposits.
This project was a fun throwback to my mural painting skills; it’s good to know I can still balance on scaffolding with a bucket and brush. This 40+’ x 18′ image was an arctic blast to paint —chock full of snowmen, Christmas trees, villages, skaters, Swiss guards, a train, a sleigh, an icy cavern one oddly occidental Santa and an awesome interactive ice bridge. I get chills just thinking about it.
Our little snow drift was such a success we also decked out the Macau branch in its own winter wardrobe. Next assignment with them, “Chinese New Year!”
