3D STREETPAINTING MEETS TECH
2017 started off with a bang by placing our streetpainting work smack dab in the center of the tech electronic world. Electronics group Bower decided to go the extra mile this year by debuting one of my unique 3d streetpainting installations at the mega CES 2017 Convention in Las Vegas.
CES is THE show for all consumer based tech offerings in the world. A virtual playground for artistic types (like me!) who are looking for more efficient and interesting ways to adapt to an ever changing user oriented world.
HOW TO GET SOME ATTENTION
Standing out in the crowd at CES can be a big challenge, with so much innovation happening around the show floor. As a solution to this challenge, the fun folks at BowerUSA, a consumer electronics group out of New York, commissioned me to create a unique Vegas themed art work for their booth. Attendees were invited to come ‘play in Vegas’ while at the booth. 3d streetpaintings always WOW a crowd, especially those that like to play and have fun. This strategy has already proven to be a good move for Bower as the interactive piece sure. Savvy consumers are eager to queue up to get their own take home pic with the art!
WHAT ELSE TO SEE AT CES?
I’m particularly excited to check out what’s new in creative applications (for artists), fashion (wearables), and VR and AR innovations. I’ve played around with AR / VR in the past along with several of my street painting colleagues, so seeing what’s shaping up in this industry will be a highlight no doubt.
Come check out the art at BowerUSA’s booth # 35735 in the South Hall if you are at the show! You can take home a little 3D info too as I’ll be there signing copies of my book ‘The Art of Chalk’ from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
