Some people insist that size does matter! Well if that’s the case, street painters in south Florida should be pretty darn happy. Big asphalt, big crowds, big fun. That about sums up last weekends events in lovely Lake Worth, Florida, where I participated as a featured artist in the 19th edition of the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival.
It was hot, sunny and only rained briefly (sudden rain is typical in Florida this time of year) – perfect conditions for a chalk festival. I decided on a 3D image of Machu Picchu, which I had the good fortune of visiting in 2012. I had these terrific photos on my iPad that I had taken at the site so I used those on a free-hand design that seemed perfect for my piece of asphalt. Easy, no stress, pure flow – just the way I like it!
